The registration for Common Aptitude Test - CAT 2020 is an examination conducted at a national level for selecting eligible candidates for admission into various postgraduate management programs taught across IIMs in India. There are about 20 IIMs imparting quality education to eligible bachelor degree holders aspiring to pursue a management course in one of the reputed institutes.

Process to Register for CAT Exam 2020

Pre-Requisites for CAT Registration

• Valid email address and mobile phone number
• Marksheets of class X, XII, graduation and/or other equivalent exams.
• Details of work experiences (if you have)
• Preferred CAT Exam Center choices
• Scanned images of photograph and signature
• Scanned copy of category certificate (if any)
• Bank details (debit card, credit card or net banking) for payment of application fee.

Steps to Register

• Visit the official website iimcat.ac.in
• Click on “Registration” for New User on the right side of the page
• Read the given instructions
• Enter all necessary details to complete CAT 2020 Registration- Name, DOB, Mobile Number, Country, and Email Address to generate OTP.
• Enter the OTP and click on Validate OTP and submit after entering the Captcha Code.
• Check on “I Agree and submit CAT Application Form”.
• After submitting the details, a message on registered mobile number containing the Password and an email containing the User ID will be sent.
• Post successful completion of CAT Registration, a unique login id and password is generated.
• These credentials are vital for filling CAT Application Form 2020.
• Click on ‘Go to Application Form’ to fill CAT Application Form.

Quota for CAT Exam 2020

The Government Policy for CAT 2020 split into 4 categories which are given below,

• Scheduled Caste, the total number of seat reserve 15%.
• Scheduled Tribe, the total number of seat reserve 7.5%.
• Backward Classes (OBC, NC), the total number of seat reserve is 27%
• PWD Differently Able candidates, the total number of seat reserve is 3%

CAT-2020 Exam Pattern

• The exam is divided into two different sections such as Logical Reasoning & Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation.
• Exam duration will be for 180 minutes
• The questions in each section consisted of 50 in number
• Every correct answer candidates get 3 marks and wrong answer candidates 1 mark will deduct.
