Rai University is a private university was established in 2012 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses across engineering, technology, management and journalism, mass communication departments. The institute runs the following schools – the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Rai Business School, College of Media & Communication, School of Fashion Technology & Performing Arts, School of Arts, Science & Commerce, School of Law, School of Agriculture, School of Life Sciences and Center for Research & Development.

The University is approved by the Government of Gujarat as well as the Bar Council of India and also is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. Rai University was awarded as the Best Upcoming Private University in the year 2012 by ASSOCHAM. The current strength of Rai University Ahmedabad is 1,383 including male and female students, as well as a strong and diverse faculty of over 75 members.

A wide range of companies visits the university during the placement drive. Aditya Birla, Canon, Neha, ACC, Honda, Winfame, Havmor, Indian Oil, HCL, TATA, Wipro, HCL, Adani, Mitsubishi Motors, Elmex, Crosshore are some of the companies that have recruited earlier. A number of BBA and CSIT students were hired by Maven Infosft and Serpent in the previous year while Mechanical students were hired by KHS.
