Sri Ramachandra Institute soon launching an Engineering College

Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education has plans to start an engineering college in the future. The college is planning to offer UG engineering and technology programs in five streams such as B.Tech in Biomedical and Robotic engineering, B.Tech in Artificial intelligence and Machine learning, B.Tech in the internet of things and Cybersecurity which also includes block cyber hacking. All the B.Tech courses are likely to have 60 seats in each course.

As per the university dean Mr. S.P. Thyagarajan, the planning for starting engineering courses has been going on for the last 2 years. He also illustrated how the university imports medical equipment and teaching tools. The incubation cell at the university campus had been launched some time ago. He also explained that the incubation cell needs more than just doctors and also stressed upon the importance of simulators and said that the engineers can help them to create simulators for the classrooms. Biomedical professionals play a major role in developing stents and implants. Participation of many technical engineers such as leather researchers, physics teachers, mathematicians, etc. is important for gathering the necessary information in the co-authoring research papers. Finally, Dean discussed how some of the above-mentioned people did some major work in anatomy and developed products such as artificial skin bones, etc.
